The Chorus of the Old Dominion welcomes male singers who do not have time to sing all year round, but who want to sing for the holiday season.

If you are not an experienced singer, we will teach you.

If you are an experienced singer, we have plenty of challenges for you!

If you have limited time, we will provide you with digital learning tracks — you can practice at home, on the road, wherever. We will schedule special rehearsals to accommodate busy schedules.

Join us in celebrating the holidays not with your wallet, but with your heart!

Our repertoire may fluctuate, as we get into the rehearsal and performance schedule, but here is the current information.

Songs we will probably sing. We have digital learning tracks available for all of them.

Rehearsals

When

Starting Thursday, October 14, our rehearsals will be 95% holiday music. However, holiday-only singers are invited to collect music before that, and attend any rehearsals before October 14. We will likely be starting on some holiday songs before October 14, and in any event, you may find that you like singing some of our regular repertoire! For experienced a cappella singers, there are quartetting opportunities as well!

We give many community performances throughout the year, but the holidays are special!

– We typically perform on 8-10 different days at 12-16 different locations
– We typically sing for 900-1,000 people
– We make a point of singing for many people who are unable to get out and about during the holidays
– We help many local organizations with their holiday endeavors
– Many local a cappella singers (or wannabes) have joined us for the holidays — it’s a great opportunity to sing, and to meet fellow singers
– The new a cappella songs that we add each year have been a hit everywhere we perform

We get many, many compliments and notes of appreciation. Thanks! And see you this December!
